LSE is a great place to create life-long connections and friends. There's a certain sense of community that is special to the university. The staff are hands-on and approachable. The facilities are modern and well-equipped.
My time at City University London was truly transformative. The university's vibrant community and diverse extracurricular activities allowed me to forge lifelong friendships and professional connections that extend beyond the classroom. I was impressed by the university's commitment to academic rigor, character development, and personal growth, which created an ideal environment for me to reach my full potential. The research-driven and industry-relevant curriculum provided me with a solid foundation in international business, while the dedicated faculty and staff offered invaluable guidance and support. I feel grateful for the well-rounded education and holistic experience that City University London offered, preparing me for success in my career and beyond.
Love Heriot Watt! I’ve been studying in the Dubai campus and I’ve now transferred to the Edinburgh one and it’s amazing! The campus has many useful facilities and there always creative events taking place for students to interact.
I joined Lancaster University at a time when it ranked in the Top 10 universities in the UK. The subject matter of my courses were academically enriching and the campus is a beautiful place to be in and amongst (other than December). Following the emergence of covid, classes were moved online. This naturally derailed learning and social experiences that are vital to a university experience. Overall, Lancaster as a university is of a very high standard, though if you're someone who is looking for an intense party culture in the main town, you may be disappointed. The main plus of Lancaster University is the campus itself; the city will become mundane after a while once everywhere has been explored in the first few months.
I just saw this link on the Surrey alumnis page. I thought it was really cool to have the opportunity to share my experience. Congratulations Eduopinions for the work. I studied in Surrey a few years ago, I graduated in 2000 and I think the university has changed a lot since then. However, I can say that I loved studying in Surrey and that my daughter is now studying there too!
Nothing to show
I really enjoyed my time at LCB! I've found that my skills when I entered the work force were much higher than others. I think though there was a big portion missing in recipe development and composition. True- we did learn it through memorizing the recipes, but we really were missing classes on how different ingredients affect the final textures.. how you can change them... etc. That I still am not an expert in .. and I create recipes! Ouf! Also, I don't know if you still do a month of sugar work... but that really wasn't necessary and should be either cut or minimized to just 2 lessons. It's such a niche skill to know that I would have really preferred more technical skills. I loved the old location. The "rumors" I'm getting about the new location are that it's not as good, unfortunately - that i's become more of a money focused/marketing machine. I really hope that this image can be fixed as I love LCB and enjoyed my time there! Oh also - there should be more help for students to get jobs and featuring old students accomplishments - from cookbook launches to new bakeries so that current and old students can support them.
