As a current master's student in the Communication Management program at the University of Wroclaw, I can confidently say that this journey has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life, not only academically, but also personally and professionally. 1. Global opportunities through Erasmus+: During my time here, I’ve joined two short-term BIP exchange programs in Spain and Romania (with a generous grant), and have a one-year exchange in Germany. These experiences have allowed me to meet peers from across Europe, learn in diverse settings, and grow both culturally and intellectually. 2. Serious research, strong support: I’m currently representing our Institute in a Monography research project of UWr, a valuable opportunity to engage deeply with academic work and collaborate with professors in a meaningful way. The opportunity is open for all students who wanna pursue an academic path. 3. Supportive and passionate faculty: The professors are not only knowledgeable but also truly approachable. In the first semester, I approached my professor for guidance on career path, research opportunities, and expressed my interest. She shared insightful experiences, motivated and encouraged me a lot. And she nominated me for the Monography research project under her supervision, and I got the opportunity. I'm grateful, honestly. 4. Practice-oriented learning: Unlike many programs that are heavy on theory, this one focuses on real-world projects, case studies, and group work - ideal for master's-level students who want to build practical skills for the workplace. Actually, I don't face much study pressure, I enjoy the courses. 5. International Office that really cares: The International Office team is incredibly helpful. During the application process, I was surprised that they always responded to my email inquiries quickly and helped me resolve any issues. When I study here, from paperworks support to academic/exchange activities, they are always ready to assist and create a welcoming environment for students from all over the world. 6. Peaceful lifestyle & affordable living: Wroclaw is a charming, student-friendly city with a mix of history and modernity. The cost of living is reasonable, making it accessible for many international students without compromising on quality of life. I travelled to many cities in European countries, but Wroclaw is one of the most peaceful and affordable cities. Although the English skills of the city officers are limited, they always try to support by using Google Translate or finding support people. Studying at the University of Wroclaw has opened doors I never imagined: from international networks to research, from personal growth to professional clarity. If you're looking for an educational experience that truly takes you beyond the classroom, this could be your next big step. I appreciate this experience and believe that this is a worthy step to open up many opportunities to explore the world!
The best part of my college experience is that everyone feels welcome and does their best to help. The teachings are at a very high level. It's very difficult to learn when using English as a second language, but I've learned a lot and expected it. The Clinical Skills Suite is comparable to other universities, which is why I was convinced that I would choose cm umk as my chosen university. The laboratory is also well equipped and all procedures are very strictly adhered to for our own safety. The campus is in the middle of town with easy access to grocery stores and nearby coffee shops. The city's campus is close to most dormitories, saving you money on public transport. The campus has a modern design, but more importantly, it is kept to a high standard and very clean 24 hours a day. Much effort has been put into keeping it clean, which shows it. It feels like a house away from home. Student unions are great and student life is very personal to everyone, but I have to say that the experience and life of the entire university is a place where the best memories can be made. The only thing I wasn't very happy with was the student support. It would be very helpful if someone could introduce me to writing essays, case scenario essays, reflections, and other scientific research face-to-face.
I want to share our experience about studying at VPU. I hope this review will help somebody not to make a mistake. My daughter studied there from October 2023 to May 2024 – Beauty Science faculty, in English. She decided not to continue her studies at the University due to a number of reasons: 1. The curriculum is not followed. The semester classes indicated in it did not coincide with those taught in the daughter’s group. 2. Classes according to the plan were supposed to begin on October 9, 2023, the 1st lesson was held only on October 16. Only 3 classes per week were held from the 16th to the end of October. There were no classes at all during the first week of November. 3. We were promised that all classes specified in the program would be carried out in full. But actually, teachers were regularly late for classes and finished the classes ahead of schedule. The 3 or 4 hours stated in the schedule lasted 1.5 or 2 hours. 4. The medical examination for students wasn’t carried out in full, although practical classes with cosmetology procedures and manipulations were conducted. 5. The University offers only 1 educational institution under the Erasmus program for the Beauty science faculty. My daughter independently found and contacted a number of universities with similar programs. Five of them agreed to accept her under the Erasmus program, but this required entering into partnership agreements. She provided information to the Erasmus program coordinator at Vincent Pol University with contacts and correspondence. But even then, no agreement has been concluded with any of the universities. 6. Not a single experiment was carried out during practical classes in the subjects of perfumery and biochemistry, since there were no reagents. 7. Even though the University considers itself as practically oriented it’s not true. The beauty salons in Lublin don’t want to recruit students for practice. The University offers 2 salons which are ready to recruit students but it turns out that they just sign the documents to confirm the completion of the practice and don’t teach students anything. 8. The administration of the University promises to resolve the problems. But nothing changes. To sum up: the University is not interested in its students’ knowledge. If you just wish to buy a diploma – it’s the right place. If you are interested in getting knowledge, skills and experience – NOT.
