Great experience in general, still things to improve.

I’m an undergraduate student of Applied Mathematics. After years on the campus, I’ve liked the facilities a lot, and I think they’re the best in the country. I’ve also liked the knowledge coverage that the studies offer on the subject. The help from the profs is mixed. Some are helpful and nice but many deliver an impersonal way of teaching so students are left filling their blanks by themselves. The organizing of exams could be better if students and profs could find the best dates on the calendar without making it every-day-examine sometimes which can be stressful. Finally, some of the first subjects that you have to take are very crowded and students tend to sit by the back without a seat or being left out.

High quality education/Interesting Modules/

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki has been one of the fundamental education poles in my homeland. It has served as a national and global educational and research center for many decades now. Many notable and acknowledged scientists and teachers have graduated from AUTH. As far as the pros are concerned I could highlight the high level of education, nice and equipped labs and libraries, specific and accurate nodules timetable amd schedule and spacy and pleasant university campus. Regarding the cons of this institute, I tend to underline the poor level of communication between the professors and the students (it was a bit difficult to get in touch with the academic staff), and the mediocre level of the electronic platforms and access to open electronic libraries etc.(websites under maintenance, not user friendly student platforms and not very attractive interface)

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Patras is a highly regarded academic institution with a strong reputation in Greece and internationally. It offers a demanding and comprehensive educational environment, supported by experienced faculty, dedicated academic staff, modern infrastructure, and well-equipped research and teaching laboratories. The department attracts highly motivated and academically strong students, providing them with a rigorous curriculum that combines fundamental scientific knowledge with advanced engineering concepts and practical skills. The five-year Integrated Master’s program offers a solid foundation in electrical and computer engineering while encouraging analytical thinking, innovation, research, and responsible professional practice. One of the department’s major strengths is its combination of strong theoretical training and opportunities for hands-on experience and research. Students are exposed to a broad range of technological fields, preparing them for careers in academia, research, industry, and the public sector. The achievements of ECE University of Patras graduates further demonstrate the quality of the education provided. Alumni have gone on to pursue successful careers in leading companies, research institutions, universities, and entrepreneurial ventures in Greece and abroad, contributing to technological development and innovation across a wide range of fields. Overall, ECE University of Patras provides a challenging but rewarding academic experience and offers students a strong foundation for both professional development and further academic pursuits.

Physics at UOA

I enjoy my field a lot because I study interesting and difficult subjects of the universe. It is very enjoyable to be able to understand things about Astronomy and Nuclear Physics. On the other hand, I think that many of our teachers are not very helpful to the students, so as for them to get a degree. They do not upload their hand notes or the exercises they do in the classroom. As a result, students are obliged to attend the course to be able to understand this particular lesson. This is a problem for students who live not so cole to the university and for others who may work in the mornings.

The multicultural environment

I think it should be considered one of the top institutions of Thessaloniki. The classes are engaging and the multicultural environment is very stimulating. The overall facilities are in excellent condition and the university is always willing to help the students excel.
