University of California San Diego - UCSD (reviews)

UCSD is a world-class university with world-class faculty and facilities. Located in an incredible location near the Pacific Ocean, it is one of the most beautiful and modern campuses in the United States. One major downside is the apparent lack of much socializing/party opportunities. Come here for the academic experience, not the social one.

Overall a wonderful political science department at the university of California, San Diego. the professors are amazing and the university is beautiful. political science is a very intriguing and flexible field of study.

UCSD is a university that focuses on helping students think outside of the box, in other words, learn about the world to develop a unique perspective on it. The school itself is divided into different colleges where certain classes are required to be taken, helping students learn different courses aside from their choice of study. It is an enormous campus with mesmerizing ocean views and outstanding architecture. If you are considering studying a STEM field, this is a perfect university to apply to. It is known for having multiple opportunities for research within those fields.

I enjoyed attending UCSD as a transfer student, I feel there could be some changes to make the experience more positive. The school has many programs to include minority students, which is appreciated. Overall it just did not feel like a a true college experience, but I personally could have been more involved in school activities.
