Being at UT has truly changed my life. From the moment I stepped onto the campus when I was touring, I pretty much knew that it was where I wanted to spend my next four years. The amount of amazing people that I’ve met, and the opportunities that I’ve been able to be apart of have been exceptional, and I don’t think I could’ve gotten what I’ve experienced at UT anywhere else. Being in a relatively big city has allowed me to experience so many new things that I never experienced before, such as a bustling live music scene, a thriving coffee scene, and a love for and a proximity to the outdoors that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Additionally, being apart of the prestigious Butler School of Music has been terrific. Being able to be apart of one of the finest schools for saxophone and music education in the whole world, studying under Dr. Stephen Page and Dr. Calvin Wong, and taking classes from incredible faculty members such as Dr. Charles Carson have been exceptional, and have been incredibly formative to my growth as a musician and overall person. Please consider UT Austin!
