Founded in 1912 by the state’s Board of Regents, and with the name of The School of Commerce, Terry College is located in Athens, Georgia. When it first opened, there were treasury issues, and with that, the institute was at stake, as they had no funding to serve all the students who had the intention to enroll in the Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree. Despite the instability, in 1915, Willis Brazeal Sparks was the first student to earn a degree at the university.Show more
