As an engineering student at Union College, I’ve had an incredibly rewarding academic experience. The small class sizes mean professors genuinely get to know you and are always willing to help, whether during office hours or after class. The engineering curriculum is rigorous but very well-structured, with a strong balance of theory and practical application. Labs and design projects are a core part of the program and have helped me build both technical skills and confidence.
What really stood out to me was how accessible and encouraging the faculty are, especially in mechanical and electrical engineering. Union’s liberal arts integration also allowed me to explore interests outside of STEM, which helped me grow as a communicator and problem-solver.
The campus community is tight-knit, and it’s easy to get involved—whether in clubs, research, or leadership opportunities. I’d highly recommend Union College to any student who wants a personalized, well-rounded engineering education in a supportive environment.
