Personally, I don’t stay on campus too often because I live near the university so I don’t have much to say about dorm living but from one of my friend’s advice: always plan ahead and get to know your roommates in the beginning. In terms of education, I think the university has good professors, and it has a variety of amazing resources that you can use to help you in your research assignments. One thing they should improve are the mental health resources, I think they should try and reach out to students more to let them know that they have someone to talk to. Overall, I personally like this university because of distance and the engineering program I’m in is great and it’s taught me a lot. I would highly recommend it.

Ncsu has one of the most welcoming atmospheres I’ve encountered, and being located in the heart of a big city makes it even better, you get to go out and take long breathes of fresh air after what could easily be a challenging mental exercise aka lectures. You’ll also meet some of the nicest people out there, eat good food, see great athletic prowess and many other things, there’s lots to do in terms of recreation, regardless of basketball being everyone’s favorite there’s lots of other activities besides lectures that you can engage in.
The campus itself is huge, but still walkable, with so many things going on, the distance usually isn’t noticed unless you’re measuring it with an app or something. Student diversity? I’ve had the opportunity to see and associate with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds from the country and from the world.
Lectures are great, you are fairly challenged in many aspects of your field of study. I’d say it’s well mixed with diversity, education, and recreation. All things one would hope for when applying.

At NCS, students may obtain a top-notch education while networking with a wide range of people, participating in campus events, and developing professional relationships. With its massive oak trees and red brick architecture, the campus is breathtaking. Nothing could be more wonderful than receiving a fantastic education from a fantastic university that is full of wonderful people. I’m confident that my time spent here will remain among my most treasured memories in the future.

There is nowhere I’d rather be than NC State. This vibrant campus has never failed to impress me. There is always something to do and people around, whether it is early in the morning or late at night. Even the teachers seem to be in a good mood all the time. I can’t believe I have just two more years at the most inclusive and varied institution I have ever visited after halfway through college.

At NC State, I am presently majoring in computer science. Being a student in the engineering department means that I have to take some of the most challenging courses the institution has to offer. Although they might be difficult at times, they are incredibly fulfilling and offer me a sense of mastery in the subject matter. Due to its size, NC State can provide its students with a wide range of services, from academic to extracurricular to anything in between.

The institution is one of the top in the nation for academics, therefore there are plenty of career options following graduation. There are also excellent alumni ties among students. Additionally, there are a number of employment fairs every year when representatives from some of the greatest regional and US corporations visit with students. Additionally helpful, the campus’ career services provide a variety of opportunities, such as help with job search, externships—which are similar to job shadowing—as well as assistance with job applications, resumes, and job interviews

Although some of the varsity teams haven’t had the best results in recent years, NCSU’s campus has a strong sports culture, and attending every game is worthwhile because of the passion and patriotism that the student body has for the teams. I believe that one of the ideal college living arrangements is living on campus. The majority of your needs, including dining halls, fitness centers, and recreational facilities, are also close by. It takes only 10 minutes to walk or take a bus to get to class.

The job placement program at NCSU is among the finest in the nation. Before graduating, students are actively encouraged by their counselors and advisers to have work experience in their field of study. In the form of employment fairs and mixers, employers frequently visit campuses to recruit. Professors are enthusiastic and enthralling in their subject areas, and the students as a whole benefit from their enthusiasm in the classroom.

Experience and knowledge abound in the professors: they are at NCSU in CEM at the college of Engineering. It is a great place of education and the professors are very knowledgeable about their particular field. They have a lot of experience to support their knowledge and are willing to help when the student is willing to commit. The workload is quite heavy with a lot of homework taking 3 hours a week. The workshops are informative and have extensive workshops to make sure you know the material but sometimes you feel annoyed. When you get to know the professors, they are more than willing to assist you in any way they can, including research opportunities and internships.

The computer engineering program offered at NC state is one of the best in the states as it offers a myriad of courses and specialization under it. It’s the only university that offers special courses in VLSI and verification. There are some great professors like Dr. Rottenberg who are amazing and passionate instructors conducting top research. For anyone Interested in computer architecture or verification, NC State computer engineering program will be a great fit!
