OCU Will Have You Glowing Like a Star
As a senior at Oklahoma City University majoring in Strategic Communications and Social Media Management, I’ve had a really meaningful experience here. OCU is a small, private university, which means the class sizes are smaller and you really get the chance to build relationships with your professors. I’ve felt supported both academically and personally, and there’s a strong emphasis on community, creativity, and leadership.
I’ve been involved in student publications, mentorship programs, and cultural organizations on campus, and those opportunities helped me grow so much; not just as a student, but as a professional. The hands-on experiences I’ve had in my major, including internships, event planning, and content creation, really prepared me for the real world.
OCU isn’t a perfect place, it’s a smaller campus, and sometimes resources can feel limited, but if you’re driven, curious, and looking for a close-knit environment where you can stand out and get involved, I’d definitely recommend it.
