I transferred into the Child and Adolescent Development program from a community college. While my classes were pretty good, I felt like the program wasn’t designed for people who are actually working. I was told that there would be easily accessible classes for me since I worked full time as a preschool teacher already, however it was very difficult to find the classes that fit into my schedule. Most of the classes were in the morning during the week, which is the same time that teachers work. I was able to take Saturday course, but then in the middle of my time there, they started grouping the classes together so I had to stay and pay for an extra semester because they wouldn’t let me enroll in one of the classes that was grouped with a class I had already taken.
