It may sound like a tired cliché, but I’ve been dreaming of attending UCLA since my days in junior high. I collected Bruin newsletters and even had my very own UCLA sweatshirt. I was a true Bruin at heart. When the time came to apply for university, I took a bold risk and only applied to UCLA. And wouldn’t you know it, that’s where I ended up going.

My years at college completely transformed me. It was at UCLA that I learned to embrace my true self and feel comfortable in my own skin. I became deeply involved in student activism, immersed myself in the history department, and delved into campus politics. This path ultimately led me to a career in education and a lifelong commitment to being a catalyst for social change.

UCLA wasn’t just a picturesque campus; it was also a renowned research institution that ignited my passion for reading and writing. The university’s exceptional fine arts department treated us to a diverse array of cultural and contemporary concerts throughout the year. Honestly, there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about my time at UCLA. It provided everything I needed and everything I desired at that stage in my life.

I’ve already planted the seed in my children’s minds that they will be future Bruins. And who knows, maybe one day they’ll experience the same transformative journey that I did.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES, is known for its faculty’s unwavering support and enthusiasm. Throughout my time at UCLA, I consistently encountered programs of exceptional academic quality. In my program, the instructors are devoted to imparting top-notch knowledge through lectures and a range of seminars. The teaching standards are, without a doubt, exceptional.

The professors and lecturers are truly outstanding in their commitment to academic excellence. The professors and lecturers on the faculty are highly intelligent individuals who are passionate about what they teach. By allowing students to actively engage with the content and comprehend how it applies to real-world circumstances, this genuine passion enhances learning.

My school held immense prestige and was renowned for fostering top-tier leaders across various domains. Nevertheless, adapting to the extensive array of resources here proved to be a learning curve. Unlike my previous small high school where guidance was readily available, the university demanded proactive effort in seeking out these resources independently. Over time, I acquired the skill to navigate the university effectively and access the necessary tools for my success. Once I grasped this ability, my university experience unfolded splendidly. I’d rate the overall experience as an 8.5.

The university is great, from the students union, to how the lecturers and teachers attend to every student that doesn’t understand a particular concept taught in class, also there is a great academic learning environment that helps students study at their free time

Went there for ucla football for a year and it was a great experience while also studying. While my time there I played at the high level and had to manage both school and sports. It was great for the year I was there and then decided to move on to another school. The environment is great, the people and the how the school functions is great as-well. As someone who was not from that area and rather another country it was a very nice place to do what you want at a University. I met only a few profs but they where nice and friendly and where always willing to help. Soon now, I wish I could have stayed more there and playing sports.
