Psychology is the favourite science for students who want to get into the depths of human feelings. This is considered to be the science of mind and behaviour. More specifically, psychology wants to explore the way people think, act, and feel, by appealing to the emotional side of people.
Passion can lead students to choose this specialisation. It is not considered a difficult one, but it is not very easy to approach, as the theoretical elements of the discipline are combined with the practical ones.
After studying Psychology, students choose to specialise in a particular sub-field. Depending on their preference, they can choose between Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Comparative Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality Psychology and many others.
Psychology is a great opportunity to get to know each other better and to get to know others. Thus, students who are looking to understanding human behaviour, feelings and mind gain an inside vision of what these notions really mean and what determines people to make certain decisions and act under different circumstances.
The employment rate among Psychology graduates has grown in recent years. Salaries are satisfactory, and young people can focus either on psychological services in schools, hospitals, treatment centres, clinics, depending on the specialisation chosen. Furthermore, Psychology graduates can integrate a career in social media, marketing, and advertising, as they understand best the reasons why people choose to make decisions according to what they see in real life.
In the four years of Bachelor studies, graduates acquire the necessary knowledge to practice Psychology, initially learning the underlying theoretical notions. These notions become an important starting point in their career, seeing later how practice blends very well with theory. It should be noted that on the labour market, students who hold a Bachelor’s degree are much more appreciated and have an advantage over those who follow simple courses.
A Master’s program usually lasts between 2 and 3 years, coming as a complement to the Bachelor’s courses. Master courses have a much more loaded curriculum and a great deal of information. A Doctoral program is dedicated to students who want to do research in Psychology in various institutes or to become teachers. This has a duration of between 5 and 7 years.
I really enjoyed my time at CSUF. The courses I took were very informative, and the professors were always there in case you needed extra help. The only thing I didn’t like about CSUF is that parking can be bad at times.
View moreI just love CSU. The school mentored me very well apart from the great teaching and training in the department of Psychology. The teachers were cool and competent. All the units that we covered were well organized and we were able to cover them promptly and well. The lecture sessions were quite engaging and interesting and all students were allowed to participate freely and even seek help whenever they had a problem in any area. I loved the methods of teaching too
View moreI really like CSU because it has a friendly campus atmosphere that you can’t find at other universities. My faculty supports me in my endeavor to become a psychologist by offering fascinating research materials, and my degree in psychology is fascinating.
The accommodation is contemporary, light, well equipped, cozy, and has a strong sense of community. The module professors are highly accommodating and supportive. They
listened to my worries and supported me.
My experience at Cal State LA was great. Everyone in the Child Development Department is so helpful in terms of teaching and guidance for higher education, such as: Graduate School and Ph.D. Overall, Cal State LA is a very diverse campus that encourages students to understand and appreciate other cultures. Cal State LA is an excellent university that offers many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to get involved on campus and in the community. Also offers many opportunities for research, internships and jobs on or off campus. However, there are two things Cal State LA can improve on, and that is parking and food. These are two basic needs of a campus, because if there isn’t enough parking, students give up and drop out. Food is very important because if there is no healthy and cheap food on campus, students will spend more money than they have and harm their health with fast food.i
View moreI really like the program that I am in because it offers a lot of help, guidance, workshops, and it gets you involved in it more. The Child Development Program at my school has its counselors that you can go get advice from. Also the Pathways Program that helps you get priority for classes you need. The department is really good at keeping students up to date by emails such as when to register, when to show up to the department for permits, and they even send out jobs and internships posted around the area related to the field. The campus is spacious yet not overwhelming or too expansive to move around a lot; I am still able to get across campus in about ten minutes if I hurry. The buildings are not all new, but they are well kept and modern. The facilities are kept clean and stocked. The student center is nice and updated; I love that we can get free blue books or Scranton’s in there, too. The library is a bit old, but the staff is so helpful and there are tons of computers to use. There are always events, activities, and meetings on campus at different times of day. There’s a diversity of foods so I am okay with that. However, I am vegetarian so I have to order my foods without meat or a substitute of meat. Besides that, I love how there is a Starbucks on campus because I like to have a coffee in the morning or a cappuccino in the afternoon. It is also nice that there is the Bookstore that has just about everything! I can buy things like an advil if my head hurts, a portable charger for my phone, a sweater, a quick snack, or even make up. It is very convenient.

View moreThis program enriches my desire to learn about psychology. The classes so far have been challenging enough for me to push myself to learn about a topic I knew I always wanted to learn more from. The professors have been excellent in assisting me on my educational journey as well. I would recommend the program to a friend who is interested in pursuing an education in psychology because there is so much more to learn than expected, especially if you already have an interest in this field of study.
View moreI really loved how flexible my professors were going to school during the pandemic. They had flexibility but still encouraged a great sense of accountability. Most of the professors were understanding of the resources that may have been lost during the pandemic so they made sure to share any student resources and appointment or as needed office hours. The access to the professors and the willingness to work with your situation really allowed me to focus on the objectives for the classes. The students and teachers created a great sense of community during the transition from on to off campus/remote.
The objectives for the class were highly versatile in media and styles of education. Overall the last two years of my education were more splendid than expected.
View moreI think my college as well as my program is very focussed on me meeting my own academic goals whether that be maintaining a 3.0 or graduating in for years, and I feel that the staff and the counselors that work they’re actually care and are rooting for me.
