To be a Broadcast Journalism major at California State University LA is like a roller coaster. Most people start off at the bottom not knowing much information, then the more classes you take, the more information you process, you keep going up from there having the ride of your life. I know that sounds super cheesy but if you really take in every thing you experience you benefit so much from it. The Broadcast Journalism program features classes that really focus in detail of the world of broadcast. You learn everything from announcing, to scriptwriting, camera editing, analyzing the media and the list continues. The professors who work in this program have had years of experience in the class they are teaching. They are well established and known within the community and have so much advice and resources to help you succeed. Make sure to pay attention to those resources and you can ask about work opportunities because a lot of them know local opportunities.
