Situated in Long Beach, California, California State University – Long Beach is a publicly-funded educational institution. The university primarily operates as a commuter campus, which initially made it challenging to socialize with fellow students since most people would attend classes and promptly return home. However, I managed to overcome this hurdle by joining a sorority, which proved to be an excellent means of making friends. One of the notable qualities of my school is its strong emphasis on experiential learning, encouraging students to actively participate in internships, cooperative education programs, and research opportunities. These hands-on experiences not only deepen students’ understanding of their chosen academic disciplines but also equip them with practical skills and valuable connections that can significantly contribute to their future professional endeavors
View moreI enjoyed my time at this university. Some of the professors were really helpful. After I reached out to them I did receive support to ensure that I was doing my assignments correct. The campus was great too. Some things I didnt like was that some professors did not teach too well and expected some of us students to have assignments done without enough guidance / clear instructions. Also more programs would of been a help, mainly more financial assistance programs. Overall, I do recommend this school. I am honestly proud of myself for graduating from here.
