Attending CSULB and pursuing a degree in Radio Television and Film has been a remarkable experience that I am truly grateful for. As I reflect on my time at CSULB, I can confidently say that it has been a transformative journey that has prepared me for a career in the dynamic world of media and entertainment. CSULB stands out as a center of creativity and innovation. I enjoyed the program at CSULB which places a strong emphasis on practical experience. I had the chance to put theoretical ideas to use in practical situations through projects, internships, and collaborations. I was able to experiment with various methods and technologies thanks to the resources I had access to, which improved my skill set and equipped me for the rapidly changing world of media production. Without a doubt, I’d heartily advise anyone who wants to major in radio, television, or film to attend CSULB. The institution is a solid option for individuals wishing to enter the media and entertainment sector due to its dedication to developing a hands-on learning environment. The university’s commitment to practical education, its encouraging teachers, and its resources have all been crucial in influencing my career path. Unquestionably, CSULB is a place where desire and creativity come together, and I am honored to have been a part of this thriving community.

Overall it’s a beautiful campus with some great faculty that I’ve been able to meet throughout my time here, however, as an art student, my experience with CSULB has been nothing but negative. The Fine Arts buildings have no proper air ventilation and either no AC or badly functioning AC. During the summer and especially during heat waves it is unbearably hot in there, and students have to step out on occasion due to the heat. There are other issues such as falling ceiling tiles (and students have been hit by them). The administration has only been offering short-term solutions and when walking around to survey how badly the heat was, they made light of the situation and had little empathy for the situation that their students and their staff were experiencing.
