Kean University has been educating students since 1855. Its founder was Stephen Congar. Initially, the purpose of the institution was to be a teacher-education college. Due to that, in 1937, the school became New Jersey Teachers College. During the post-war period, the demand for a more comprehensive curriculum increased. Thus, the college started to provide a wider range of academic programmes.
The school is one of the largest higher education institutions in New Jersey. What is more, it hosts numerous research centers such as Kean University Human Rights Institute and New Jersey Center for Science.Show more
I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years at Kean as an international student. The university has a lot of opportunities regarding Research, scholarships, Study Abroad Programs, campus employment, student organizations, career help, tutoring, learning equipment loaners, beautiful campus and decent dorms.
