Houston Community College - HCC (reviews)

Instructors just read from slides. Don’t bother asking follow up questions – they hate that and can’t explain further. Radiopharmacy instructor can’t do basic math so only accepts work done in the exact same steps as she has outlined in her key. She can’t work out the problems without referring to her key. There’s a hot lab and camera but you won’t get to use it. The program in general relies entirely on throwing you into your clinical rotation immediately and letting the hospital teach you. They lie to students constantly about starting pay and have people believing they’re going to make $100k/yr right out of the program.

Since I am nearly starting to complete some pre requisite courses to get into the actual program I currently find everything preety great and accommodating to my personal life.As of now the school has offered me different kinds of aid to help me pay for my education and I find it preety helpful so far. I think it’s a great option for people who would like to attend college and obtain a career but don’t find it necessary to spend so much money on a big university out there. Houston Commmunity College offers a variety of opportunities for all kinds of education for a way cheaper price than a big university. There are also many locations around Houston in which is more than likely to be close to home like me.

HCC is a great school to start your college experience, especially if you’re on a budget. They make setting up financial aid easy. All of the student advisors are knowledgeable and nice. I’m a veteran that’s graduating soon and they have a great VA center that helps with my school funding as well as veteran needs. I 100% recommend this school to anyone who is looking to further their education.
