The university is in a very quiet city and there isn’t much room for social life on campus so all the fun is off campus in nearby cities. The staff is okay but I felt some prejudice and bias but I won’t get into that too much.

The schools financial aid office are the worlds biggest scammers. They wait till it’s too late to do anything to notify you and when u are notify of a problem they don’t tell you what it is they just tell you to figure it out. After spending weeks talking to the financial aid office, fafsa, and my scholarship people I learned it was a small filing mistake made by the financial aid office that cost me almost $10k to get my grades for my first year. Then the office tried to blame me for the mistake when they messed up and they could’ve just easily asked me to resubmit the papers that they messed up and it wouldn’t take me weeks to find out what happen.

The professors are the same that teach at NOVA community college so I recommend you go to NOVA for the 2 years and take classes there it’ll save you so much money and time compared to dealing with the stuff I dealt with at Mason.

The atmosphere on campus exudes friendliness and inclusion. George Mason University provides students with an outstanding academic environment, illustrious resources, and learned professors who are capable of passing on the information necessary for students to succeed.

I love GMU. Personally, I adore both this campus and my professors. The campus itself is stunning and features top-notch dining options. Every semester, more are added, giving the impression that the campus is expanding in both size and population. Not to mention that there are many really healthy options to select from, amazing food that is underestimated, a Starbucks nearby, and a ton of other eateries you may patronize with real money! There is a lot to do on campus, George Mason University is close by, and the professors are dedicated to helping their students succeed.

George Mason is a large academic university. I appreciate Mason’s school spirit! Student organizations organize many fun and useful events for students. They are willing to do whatever it takes to help their students and make sure they excel in their class. I also like the student life on campus. There are so many clubs and organizations to join that it feels like home. The people on campus are friendly and the population is very diverse. I made some really good friends with really nice people because of it. The cultural level is excellent there because student life is a fun way to meet different opportunities and people.

Not to mention the food is great and very underrated and there are some very healthy options to choose from, plus a nearby Starbucks and plenty of other restaurants to use with your hard cash! All buildings are relatively new and new residential buildings are still being constructed for incoming students. There is a wide variety of personalities, styles and interests on campus. The student population is not only diverse in race and religion, but also in the unique traits that make up the student body. Student interests include sports, Greek life, activist groups, environmental groups, entertainment (music, drama, dance, poetry, a capella), exercise, travel, religion, volunteerism, and more

George Mason University is the epitome of diversity; You will never see the same person twice and you are sure to meet people from all walks of life, even in a school setting. I made friends with Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Russia, Poland, China, Cambodia, South Virginia, etc. Depending on your teachers, you can easily experience in the classroom how such diversity can transform a class discussion or overview of a topic. also encourage students to socialize by organizing events, which give students the chance to meet each other. The campus itself is very beautiful and has excellent restaurants. More are built every semester, so the campus seems to be growing not only in number but also in size. I would recommend this university to anyone who wants to get a good education but also have a good time. CC is a short drive away and there is plenty to do on campus.

George Mason is one of the safest colleges I’ve ever been to. I feel there are no dangerous areas that are not well lit and have no access to the authorities. Mason’s campus accommodation is fantastic. All buildings are relatively new and new residential buildings are still being built for incoming students. There is a diverse range of personalities, styles and interests on campus. The student population is diverse not only in race and religion, but also in the unique characteristics that make up the student body. Student interests include sports, Greek life, activist groups, environmental groups, entertainment (music, theatre, dance, poetry, a capella), exercise, travel, religion, volunteering, and more.

I feel very safe at George Mason University. It’s in a beautiful location. Campus security does a good job of making all students feel safe. The school is located in the heart of Fairfax. Fairfax City is just down the street with plenty of shopping, dining and other activities. The GMU is relatively close to the Fair Oaks Mall and several theatres. GMU is also very close to DC, our nation’s capital. Mason offers students free transportation to the subway. Mason goes above and beyond to not only accommodate a wide range of students, but to make them feel welcome whenever they are here. There are many great events on campus and many cultural groups that students can participate in! I have friends from different cultures, religions, races and economic backgrounds. I also have many international friends. Coming from a small town in Virginia, diversity is welcome on this campus. And the best thing is that everyone accepts everyone to some degree. George Mason is so interesting to see how different people are and how much you can learn from them.

The Mason community is very friendly and cooperative. I always felt safe on campus and never worried about getting hurt. There is plenty of parking and if you get there early you can get a good spot. The range of dishes is varied and delicious. There is something for everyone. One thing I would like to say is that there are many additional fees associated with the tuition fees which add significantly to the price. The courses are very varied and offer a wide range of possibilities. The cultural level is excellent there because student life is a fun way to meet different opportunities and people. My advisor is fantastic, always responsive and always helpful. Classmates are always helpful if you need extra help. So far, I have met study groups! There are so many people on campus fundraising. I like the diversity of this university. There are people from all walks of life and walks of life.

George Mason University is absolutely amazing! There are so many opportunities on campus that give students so many different ways to get involved and find something that interests them. Everyone is super helpful in making sure your college experience is wonderful. The campus is vibrant and beautiful without being too sprawling, which might make it harder to get around quickly. The people at George Mason make the school so great. The people I’ve met here are so open to new ideas and helping other students learn and move creative projects forward. I actually got into fraternity recruiting and made good friends. I understand that fraternity clubs aren’t for everyone, but I highly recommend new students join clubs as they are a great way to meet people. As a new student, Mason feels large and overwhelming as he tries to find your foothold. Finding like-minded people makes the journey easier and a lot more fun. I would definitely choose my school again because of the general atmosphere of the school and the graduations.
