Researching Pomona could certainly give you multiple numbers and qualifications, which make it a historic, selective, highly ranked, and diverse college. What is more important, besides its (well-deserved) rigour, is the community and campus culture. Most classes are small, so you get to know your professors well and forge connections with faculty across departments; students have time to engage in activities outside of the classroom in clubs and student-employment opportunities, and certainly, the California climate contributes to an overall positive atmosphere. It is a residential college, where most students live on campus. There are required areas all students need to fulfill, but not like a traditional core-curriculum–there is flexibility in checking off the requirements and taking classes you genuinely want to take.
