The teachers at Lesley University are generally responsive to students’ questions and knowledgeable in their fields. One plus is that Lesley University is willing to give a lot of accommodations to disabled students (both mental and physical disabilities) with little effort on the part of the student. The administration, however, is ineffective. They wait until the last minute to send out announcements and often do not respond to students’ emails. Additionally, there have been health concerns like mold in the school food and in the bathrooms. Many of the buildings desperately need structural fixes. The school takes months to fix issues like pipes bursting, water quality problems, elevator access issues, and pest issues. There are few course options and when registering for courses, students need to be aware that courses are frequently cancelled due to low registration. It is difficult to get into required courses and the requirements for graduating are unclear. Academic advisors are mostly unhelpful. There are not many campus activities. Bingo is considered the most exciting campus activity. While the teachers are top of their fields, the administration and campus life issues make me unable to recommend attending Lesley University.
