I loved my program because it was properly taught. It was a very interactive one. I didn’t just learn French to get a degree but I learnt a culture. French is really a beautiful course. It has given me so many opportunities to interact at the global level. I’m really grateful for my time at Harvard.
The tutors are really amazing. Materials were provided for students to learn and put in their best to understand everything concerning French.
A wonderful experience I won’t forget in a hurry!
Apart from understanding English, French is one of the globally recognized languages in the world, learning the course at Harvard puts on a spotlight because it is well taught and you can be sure you can function in any French speaking country.
Harvard is the best.
If I were to focus on the program only, I have to admit I don’t have any regrets choosing this university. The resources are excellent in my field: specialists for almost all the possible areas, excellent libraries, numerous guest writers, professors and professionals, an overwhelming number of activities and events daily!
I love the freedom I have to tailor my degree according to my time and interests and especially all the opportunities it allowed me to enjoy during my studies. I adore how international the university is and I wish its aim to promote diversity would extend way more, in order to allow students from poorer backgrounds, diverse origins and places to hone their skills and talent and make the most of what the university has to offer.
On a personal level, I find studying, writing and teaching at the same time quite stressful and I wish I could focus on one aspect of my grad student life at a time. I wish I had a better work-life balance and be exposed to more fields in which I had a good chance of making a difference. I wish the academic bubble in which I am provided an honestly constructive, sincere and stimulating environment where competition would be positive and shallowness inexistent.
Overall, however, I am extremely happy with the choice I made and I would recommend everybody to apply. The course definitely met my expectations, while the university exceeded them. Although I wish I lived in the city centre, I have to admit the campus has its own charm and I miss it when I’m away. The university asks a lot from the students, but it equally provides them with unimaginable resources that I’m very grateful to have. I really feel that it is a once in a lifetime experience that changed the way in which I understand my own identity, as well as other numerous aspects that have to do with the world we live in.
