When you think of California, it’s likely that your mind will wander to the famous Hollywood sign, or the bustling Sunset Boulevard with colorful billboards of TV stars. It’s a place where dreams come true; and where mine did, too. No, I didn’t become a movie star or anything of sorts, but I was able to obtain my Bachelor’s degree at CSU Fresno in 2021.
Though it was definitely a rollercoaster ride full of ups and downs (typical for all universities and colleges out there), my experience at CSU helped me better myself and become a person I never thought I could be. CSU is known not only for its academic qualities but also for the diversity of the students; it’s a place where you get to find friends from many different backgrounds and experience different cultures of the world. They also offer a wide variety of courses that you can sign up for, including courses you might not even know existed before! The best thing about the CSU system is undoubtedly their affordable tuitions compared to other universities in California; additionally, they also give out generous academic-based and financial-based grants every year for deserving students. I think it wouldn’t be an understatement to say that CSU definitely changes lives in the best ways possible.
