I really enjoyed my time at CSUF. The courses I took were very informative, and the professors were always there in case you needed extra help. The only thing I didn’t like about CSUF is that parking can be bad at times.

I think that institution allowed me to explore my love of language and broaden my abilities so that I am able to share that knowledge with others! I appreciate the strong expertise of the professors in my program and the rigor of the classes, even if I believe that the work was more focused on theoretical concepts that pedagogy. I would absolutely recommend my program.
View moreMy time at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) was genuinely transformative, offering an educational experience that perfectly blended academic rigor with a deeply supportive community. For anyone seeking a university where meaningful connections, practical experience, and intellectual growth are prioritized, CSUSB stands out as an exceptional choice.
One of the most defining aspects of my experience was the invaluable interaction with professors. Unlike larger institutions where students might feel like a number, CSUSB fostered an environment where building relationships with faculty was not just possible, but encouraged. This open door policy led to incredible mentorship opportunities, providing not only academic guidance but also crucial insights into career pathways and next steps after graduation. This personalized attention was instrumental in shaping my professional direction.
Furthermore, CSUSB provided robust opportunities for conducting research and getting published. The university actively encourages student involvement in scholarly and creative activities, offering resources and support that enabled me to dive into research projects. This hands-on experience was a highlight of my academic journey and a significant asset for my future endeavors.
Finally, the affordability of tuition at CSUSB, especially compared to many other options in the California region, made a high-quality education accessible. This financial accessibility, combined with the rich academic and personal development opportunities, truly made CSUSB an outstanding value.
Overall, CSUSB provided a nurturing and stimulating environment that empowered me to excel academically, build lasting relationships, and prepare effectively for my career. I highly recommend it to prospective students looking for a comprehensive and impactful university experience.
View moreI earned my Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and American Studies and my Master of Arts degree in History from California State University Fullerton, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. All of CSUF’s faculty is fantastic, but in particular the faculty in the History and American Studies departments were phenomenal–supportive, engaging, and truly dedicated to their students. Special thanks to Dr. Susie Woo, Dr. Steven Smith, Dr. David Freeman, and Dr. Robert McClain for their incredible teaching and mentorship. CSUF is very affordable tuition-wise, and I worked part-time on campus throughout my studies which was also a great experience. I always felt valued and well-supported by CSUF’s faculty and staff, and always had plenty of resources for anything I needed help with. My only real complaint is the parking–it’s a commuter school, and parking is overcrowded and overpriced. They sell more permits than they have spots, which can be frustrating. That said, I’d still absolutely recommend CSUF in every possible way for its exceptional academics and community. Go Titans!
