When attending the school I got no guidance from counselors and when I did I was provided the wrong information. The school clearly cares more about the money they obtain from the student and that can be see by there “State of the art” gym facility for students. The Deans are paid to do nothing. When I was put on academic suspension I wanted to appeal the decision. The Dean literally told me “wow that’s a first not one single student has ever come to see me, but there’s nothing I can do the school is running on a computer program which at random decides who will be out or not. I’ve seen people with 1.0 gpa stay so it’s up to luck.” My education was derailed after this I got straight A’s only to be told there was nothing to be done. They have such a high acceptance rate because they know more then half of those accepted would be gone by the years end anyway.
View moreI would have loved if the professors were more supportive and hands on with the students. I would have also loved if we had more career expos as well as support from alum students. I feel like this would have helped me and other students prepare ourselves more for this career and see what to expect.
View moreI attended CSUN and Fullerton they are great schools for life on campus. You can meet lots of new people and hang around the common room with friends if your dorm. The library is HUDGE and is popular because of the movie “Sky High’. Overall the atmosphere is nice. There are a lot of squirrels around. If you aren’t careful they steal your food. I love the trees around campus and the bike paths. The administration though is a bit odd. Some people and campus patrol may look at you funny if you are a person of colour.
View moreThis program enriches my desire to learn about psychology. The classes so far have been challenging enough for me to push myself to learn about a topic I knew I always wanted to learn more from. The professors have been excellent in assisting me on my educational journey as well. I would recommend the program to a friend who is interested in pursuing an education in psychology because there is so much more to learn than expected, especially if you already have an interest in this field of study.
View moreI really loved how flexible my professors were going to school during the pandemic. They had flexibility but still encouraged a great sense of accountability. Most of the professors were understanding of the resources that may have been lost during the pandemic so they made sure to share any student resources and appointment or as needed office hours. The access to the professors and the willingness to work with your situation really allowed me to focus on the objectives for the classes. The students and teachers created a great sense of community during the transition from on to off campus/remote.
The objectives for the class were highly versatile in media and styles of education. Overall the last two years of my education were more splendid than expected.
View moreI think my college as well as my program is very focussed on me meeting my own academic goals whether that be maintaining a 3.0 or graduating in for years, and I feel that the staff and the counselors that work they’re actually care and are rooting for me.
View moreCalifornia State University of San Marcos is incredibly supportive to all of their students whether it’s academically, financially, or personally. The Child Development Program offers a broad overview of the psychological
View moreI liked how hands-on the program was. It really helped me as I am a student that needs to do things practically to properly learn. All of my professors were very accommodating of my disability. We have a lot of international students and a very good support system in the international student services office. However, the parking is horrible as it’s a commuter school.
View moreI thought when I started college, I was going to experience the science department to its fullest but no. Most of it revolved around professors being rude and unhelpful and being allowed to behave that way because they had tenure. Then you had your other biology professors who were more interested in their own research than teaching. It just overall lacked enthusiasm.
View moreWhat I like most about the school is the political science program; in general, it’s great. I have a lot of professors that are efficient and go above and beyond for students’ success. Also, the faculty is really great and helpful.
