Baruch is one of the most exceptional CUNY (City University of New York) schools. It is well known for its accounting and business programs as the school building is located in the lower east district closeby to the business side of Manhattan and a few train stops away from Wall Street. If you look in the right areas, the school will help you get internships (that may possibly lead to a job) at these prestigious firms and help you get a kick start in your career. However, something that I must include is that you must do your research on the professors you’d like to choose for your classes. If your learning method is different from the professors, you will find yourself struggling. Baruch is a big school and prefers to stay out of student-professor-related issues unless it’s very serious. If you are not learning the way you need to, or find that you don’t like the class at the beginning of the semester, drop it. Otherwise, once you find the right professors for you and your schedule, school isn’t bad to come to, and with the right companionship, it usually is enjoyable. I say that it’s best for business or accounting majors because most of the students in the building are finance obsessed. We want to make money and we come here to receive education on how to run it. Statistically, Baruch has the best economic studies in New York. You can find events at Baruch as well. In the Spring term, most sports begin championship season and there are free games in the Baruch gym that you can come and watch. Furthermore, although it isn’t open right now to everybody, the workout room is a great place to work on building not only muscles but the habit of exercising. We also have clubs that have an interest in anime, gaming, theatre, and other extracurricular activities that you’d like. The great thing about Baruch is that they want you to leave as a holistically achieved being.View more
