First and foremost I love my university, and I have never for one second regretted my decision to come to Warwick to study Film. The campus itself is stunning and has so many amazing locations to both study and socialise. I have received an excellent standard of teaching over this past year and I am thoroughly enjoying my degree so far.
However, the major area that Warwick lacks in is its communication with its student body. I am about to enter the second year of my degree and have yet to receive my timetable when I know so many people at other universities received theirs over a month ago. I am in the process of applying for jobs to support myself through my degree and I am unable to tell employers when I will be available to work. Furthermore, I am not yet able to access any of my course material and so cannot prepare in advance for my lectures and seminars, and on top of this I am yet to be told who my new tutor is, which I was told I would find out about over the summer. It seems that every small aspect of admin that the university needs to carry out to support its students is left entirely until the last minute, leading to stress among students, myself included.
