The University of Strathclyde is in the centre of Glasgow and at the heart of the student heart of the city. The location is key to its popularity and is also centred close to nightclubs. Nonetheless, the ‘centre-ness’ of the university to the student accommodation can make the feeling mundane at points, especially in this current COVID-19 climate. Nonetheless being centre also allows the ability to be close to nightclubs and other student accommodation, however, it could mean you are subject to ‘centre of city’ living costs. The student accommodation in Glasgow is expensive and when moving into your second year and moving out of halls, it can become a potential issue trying to find flats, with the current housing crisis in Scotland. Near Strathclyde student accommodation is the new student union, which can be described as the new centre of all ‘Strathclyde’.
