I recommend St Andrews for its commitment to engaging students with both practical and philosophical knowledge. Its academic staff value education for its contribution to a well-functioning society as well as its inherent worth. This is unusual for modern universities, which are normally driven by profit. In addition, the rural setting is a lovely place to live and learn. From the beaches and ocean walkways, to the sandstone streets, it is truly idyllic. I highly recommend it.
