I’m a last year student at the University of Portsmouth, preparing to graduate, and I can honestly say I’ve had a great time here.
I believe how much you would love being here is entirely dependent on what you are looking for in a university. The downtown campus is one of the reasons I admire the university. Most of my properties are practically close to each other in the Northern Quarter, and my other buildings are less than a 10-minute walk away. Accommodations are also quite close, with some right on the building’s doorstep. I also appreciate the water, so the fact that we have a beautiful beach has helped my enjoyment of my stay here.
In terms of academics, I’ve had a terrific time and felt supported during these years here. Despite the fact that I battled a lot in my first year, I received enough support and assistance when I decided to alter my degree with no complications. Most of my modules and evaluation techniques have been enjoyable – I study International Relations and Politics, so this is rather subjective. All of the professionals I’ve interacted with, whether academics or student support workers such as those in the wellness, financial, and employability services, have been quite helpful.
