Portsmouth University is a unique place. The cultural diversity allowed me to make so many friends from completely different backgrounds and cultures. The Geography course i studied was engaging and allowed me to experience other places in the world i had never been to before or even thought of going too. One place the course took our year group to was Berlin. The trip was something that shaped my time at university and allowed me to grow as an individual in many ways. It enabled me to come out of my shell and to make friends with the people and my course and enabled me to get to know the lecturers. This proved very useful later when writing a dissertation and when the course became more intense. Therefore the course has not only allowed me to experience cities abroad but to also establish contacts within the university, make life long friends, establish vital life skills as well as gain a degree at the same time!
