at University of Leeds

As an exchange student from Hong Kong, Uni of Leeds is a versatile university compared to my own university.

For the environment, it has a nice view and facilities. The campus is really huge, and because of that, the university blends into the community. It won’t give students a big difference when you go to lessons or shopping around. The whole vibe is relaxing.

For education, teaching and technology are well on the level. For example, due to covid-19, many lectures are having online teaching. Uni of Leeds makes good use of technology, using different applications and equipment to help the teaching deliver well.

For the resources, Uni of Leeds provides many different kinds of resources. For example, it is free for students to have mental health counselling and medicines, Moreover, it is also free for students to take the LFT kit. As long as you are studying at the Uni of Leeds, you have been fully looked after.

For the diversity, Uni of Leeds promotes ethnic diversity and disability diversity. There are more than 12,000 international students in the Uni of Leeds. As an international student, I have met different students from different countries, e.g. Kenya, Thailand, Indonesia, etc. The diversity in the race helps students to have cultural exchange and communication. Also, Uni of Leeds hires disabled people as their staff. For example, they hire a visually disabled professor and treat them fairly. Students in lectures can get along with the disabled and learn respect. The atmosphere here is really positive and healthy.
