I loved my programme, it was super interactive and had a great variety of modules that allowed you to really tailor the degree to your interests. Our professors were always engaging and encouraged reaching out for additional support if you ever needed it. Having modules assessed in different ways was also a major bonus, as it helped us to develop different skill sets, such as report writing, presentation, and debate. Human geography as a field is pretty broad but the department held regular career fairs which were great for networking and exploring where your career could progress to. In addition to the events, the structure of the course also allowed us to take on discovery modules. These could be from any other school within the University and gave the opportunity to explore different modules that complemented our individual careers paths. A discovery module I took in my second year was graduate skills for professional development which helped provide an insight into what to expect when applying for graduate jobs. Overall it was a brilliant experience that I would definitely recommend for anyone interested in studying the humanities.
