Good facilities but not great for research students

The campus is nice and it’s near the town of Canterbury, which is a lovely place to live. The facilities on campus were great, especially the gym, although the library didn’t always have a subscription to the journal I needed. Some of the lecturers were really excellent, and the other students were motivated and passionate about what they were studying. However, it probably wasn’t the best place to do a PhD as research students on teaching scholarships were overloaded with teaching and had no time to do their own research.
