Exeter University seems to have a reputation of controversy surrounding it every single year, however, speaking as a minority student, I have found that there are many positives to coming here.
My Law course has been challenging, but a thoroughly enjoyable one and the friends I have made on my course, and from societies I have joined throughout my time here, are ones I will keep for life. However, I will remark that the jump from first year Law to second year is quite startling and I realised I needed to be more organised to continue getting the grades I expected from myself.
The facilities on campus are great, with many study spaces you can enjoy either on your own or in groups – though the library seems to be busy 24/7 so it’s recommended you get a seat early on!
On the whole I would recommend this University – it is situated in a city that is small enough you could walk everywhere, but not so small you would be bored all the time as there are bigger cities nearby which are just a train ride away! My learning experience has been great so far and the people I have met have been amazing.
