at University of Dundee

Currently, I am studying a 4-year degree in social work. At the beginning of the course, I expected it to be a very practical course, that would involve multiple practical activities, to give us an insight into how social work would be in a real-life setting. However, the first semester consisted of everything being online, which was unusual at first, but in the end, became more interesting. What I liked the most about my course, is that we were mixed with two other courses, which include Community education and Primary School Teaching. Through this, I am able to get an insight into real-life working scenarios, as these professions work closely with social workers, and further prepares me for partnership working which is a key factor in social work. I would highly recommend this course, as it enlightens the struggles that are faced in society and the key professions that help tackle the inequalities that are faced within society.
