This university offers a strong variety of courses, so it’s easy to find something that suits your interests. The student nightlife and societies are lively and make it simple to get involved and meet people. I really like the smaller university feel, as it creates a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Events like the RAG race are a highlight and bring the student community together. Living in the city is a big plus, and overall student satisfaction here is well deserved.
View moreI studied online via University of Chichester teaching partner Xenophon College London. Both XCL and the University of Chichester had been sort of my home for 2 years. It was the most amazing experience of my life. I felt no stress there, assignments despite being challenging, did not create any stress, lessons were engaging – combining knowledge and practical skills. It was also thanks to my professors who were professionals in their field and provided answers to my never-ending questions. The environment despite being online was welcoming and I met many interesting people with whom I created long lasting friendships.
The disadvantage was communication on some level, mainly receiving email responses was quite a lenghty process but it was already sorted.
I would also pinpoint the situation and the support I receive. I took care of my sick grandma and during an online call she came to my room seeking help. The dean and the assistant were amazing, asking me if I need anything or if I need a break or more time to do my assignment due to the difficult situation I was in. Those simple questions offered me a reasurance that I am not alone and I can ask for help or just talk about my struggles. Thank you for that!
Overall, my experience was highly positive, so if people wonder whether be a student at Chichester, I suggest, do it!

View moreOverall my experience was good. In my final year I commented and worked from home but for the initial 3 years I was on campus and enjoyed the social aspect.
During my masters course I really enjoyed the first semester but the second semester was rather disappointing. The module which encouraged me to take the MSC was taken off the course and the structure was changed. In this second semester it felt like the lecturers lacked communication amongst one another when it came to deadlines and such.
I’m glad I took and completed the course however there was a clear lack of planning from the course leaders which lead to a number of students struggling.
This University is absolutely fantastic, something that is consistent throughout my cohort. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to study acting, musical theatre, film and TV or even sports. Best University for sure.
