UCLan is one of the supportive universities in the UK

As a student for approx 4 years, I found UCLan to be the most supportive university and community I have ever attended.

The lecturers really do wish all students to move forward in life, as well as support every student with personal issues including mental health on a daily basis.

At UCLan, there are 3 departments I really need to thank.

School of Social Work for all my professional teaching over the years.

The Comensus team, where we are supported by using our skills as clients of outside services where we share experiences with students throughout the university.

Finally, the team on the 4th Floor at the media factory, supporting students and graduates to look at setting up their own businesses and social enterprises.

I went on to continue as an associate lecturer for over 10 years so far, sharing my life experiences with many schools within UCLan.

I also got support in setting up my networking events and social enterprises to help others around the university and in the community.
