During my first year, (2020) I experienced the Covid-19 pandemic with lockdowns and so did not attend any lectures on campus. Everything was conducted online and it was pretty hard to socialise with people on the course. With everything going on, it was pretty understandable.
The second year, (2021) was disastrous. Although the lectures were all in person and things felt a bit more normal, like being able to socialise and meet lecturers, the majority of this year was spent on strikes. This meant most of what I was meant to be taught, I had to teach myself through presentation slides that mostly very brief because the majority of lectures were cancelled. For paying the tuition fee we pay each year, this is definitely is not what we asked for at all. Understandably, there are reasons for strike but the management should be able to help it’s many students succeed in their degree.
Now in my third and final year, it has so far been the best but unfortunately this is what my university experience should have been like.
I have all my lectures, the lectures are great to ask anything.
