This is a University built for skills and access. The Courses ran here don’t supply dead weight knowledge, furthermore the operational/practical elements of each course are funded and taught at levels equal to or beyond that of the role you will eventually procure with your achieved qualification. The courses can be left with much to be desired if you aren’t sure about your path in life but, if you have a vague direction they can help you direct your focus to the relevant role within your industry and over qualify you for the entry level status with rapid succession.
View moreThis university had a fantastic course, Acting for Live and Recorded Media. It helped you work with camera, theatre AND radio, even helping you develop a showreel and audioreel for when you leave. Unfortunately, they did not have systems in place to help non-binary students within their course. Students were marketed as men or women, no option for non-binary actors. Inappropriate comments by students and staff were raised with no repercussions. I felt I did not belong and was harassed, which deeply affected my mental health. When COVID hit they provided no support for any of the final year students, and when offers were suggested they never came to fruition.
View moreThis university was great to be of friendly tutors, and friendly staff I have finished my degree now but it was a great experience I would recommend it to new students as they will settle in well as everyone is kind and welcoming there is a new campus based in Manchester city centre now as the one I went too shut down as they relocated but the tutors I had adjusted the degrees with Manchester university so they are more practical for students which leads to funnier classes
