The quality of the teachers and the tutorials as well as the facilities available distinguish the University of southampton from others. A decent and safe environment for learning, excellent programs with awesome extracurricular activities, a well equip library for students always open 24/7. A fantastic campus with an equisite atmosphere in a good location, good and affordable accomodations for the students. University of southampton is the best.

I will recommend university of southampton to any student, the have lots of excellent programs, a charming environment and a ravishing campus. Accommodations are low price and bargainable, remarkable and awesome teachers always ready to support the students.

University of southampton is a tremendous school with reinindustrialize facilities. The teachers are fantabulous and caring, the accommodations are affordable and bargainable. A charming campus with a lovely environment to make the students comfortable.

So far everything at the university is alright, from the campus to the facilities given. The course itself is quite easy to follow so far. The professor’s have been very helpful and resources provided are to a satisfactory level.

I really like the student to lecturer ratio here in University of Southampton. It allows me to have an easier communication with the lecturers which I can ask questions and seek assistance to the problems I am facing in both personal and in my Academics.

The course is very interesting with a lot of stuffs to learn about the new technological era. The campus here looks big and modern, with a lot of labs and rooms, I really like the library since it’s bright and quiet.

The university and the location are excellent, but a better educational program could be developed. I was able to meet amazing people and engage with a lot of events from the Students Union which overall would give a high start for the student living in Southampton.

I spent 3.5 years undertaking my doctorate degree at Electronics & Computer Science. We had access to knowledgeable academic staffs, annual monetary benefits to purchase equipment & attend conferences/summer schools etc. and other intangibles (such as a conducive working environment & coffee). Easy access to everything (costa, pret, supermarket, bank!). Enjoyed every bit of my PhD adventure!

The University of Southampton is definitely an institution that values students that are active and enthusiastic. There is a virtually infinite amount of activities and opportunities that you can take advantage of, both in the form of on-campus events, sports clubs and societies, business and entrepreneurship opportunities, an active academic body, especially in engineering fields, and great industry connections, as well as other projects.
The campus is also a great place with a ton of different places to study, meet, and organize events (including a few brand new buildings), as well as being very green.
While it’s definitely a world-class institution, sometimes it lacks in teaching quality and organization/communication between professors on lecturing and coursework. This varies drastically between years and degrees, however, and is ultimately down to the individual lecturers.
The university itself is in a nice location, not downtown but close enough to most places that students go to. Southampton is very much a student city, and you will definitely get the proper “uni experience” here, which can be good or bad, depending on what you’re looking for (it’s definitely not as nice to just live in).
Lastly, if you’re doing an engineering or computer science degree, or a similar technical field, or you are interested in business, startups, and technology, Southampton is a great fit for you because it has a lot of opportunities (as mentioned before), including a startup accelerator on-campus and dedicated student enterprise and careers teams, as well as having the Southampton Tech Park nearby and not to mention amazing industry connections to many tech companies.
