Overall the experience has been mediocre due to covid, the university did do a decent job at compensating but paying full price for a course and only having access and support to a 1/4 of it really does set it back. Modules don’t really relate to the course, remove the excitement and investment as some of the modules could’ve been put into other courses and have made a more direct selection of modules which relates to our course. Criminology and book reviews? Not very enticing or mutual. Time management and organisation? Waste of another module. However, the staff are very supportive, helpful and kind, always Open to help and do their best for us. Either from personal to academic drawbacks they other their full support.
View moreI absolutely love studying at Sheffield Hallam university, however I started my first year during covid and that has had a huge impact on both my first and second year experience. Therefore making online teaching extremely difficult. SHU did a fabulous job at making it work throughout the circumstances
Lectures reply quick, no stop help from them when it is needed
Not bad at all, wish that there would be more student support in terms of online learning as it took a while to get used to it. Also hoped that student life would be more interactive however I’ve failed to meet anyone on my course.
