Having read multiple reviews about NTU, I was curious how my experience would match up. When I applied in 2008, I had read that the institution was ranked 8th for design courses. During my 4 years studying Fashion Knitwear Design with Knitted Textiles, it was clear to see that this reputation was well-merited.
The resources available to students are numerous, and we were encouraged to branch out to use as many as possible. I, for example, used the laser cutting and dyeing labs, which were essential to my final project. My tutors were always on hand to consult, and we had multiple tutorials to check in with them and ensure we were on track. I was even supported during my sandwich internship year whilst working in London.
Although the university is over a century old, the design campus itself is modern and fit for purpose. Bonington is located near the city centre, along with the student union, and is very accessible and buzzing with student life.
I highly recommend Nottingham Trent University to anyone who is looking to study with top tutors at a world-renowned university.
