Provides a good balance of social and academics. Great place to develop connections. Great number of societies in all aspect of academia and sports. Great facilities and professors. Teaching quality is excellent
View moreIt was, hopefully still is, a great university and lived up to its reputation both for learning and for living the student life. I was there 1975 to 1979 and did a Maths degree followed by an MSc in Numerical Analysis and Conputing – stood me well in my career. I suspect none or my lecturers are still there! And sadly they demolished the Maths Tower as well.
My advice – study hard, play hard and enjoy Manchester in in every way.
View moreI’d definitely recommend this university. It offers lots of resources and the staff is ready to help you with anything you need. The environment is energetic and fun to be in, partly because it’s near the city centre which is full of things to do, but also because of the amount of student societies inside the university that make it really easy to make friends and pick up any hobby. The only bad things that stop me from adding a fifth star are the staff strikes that have been going on every semester for the last three years (they usually aren’t a big problem, depends on how nice your lecturer is, but still it shouldn’t be happening) and the high prices for the food offered by the university.
View moreIt’s a great university, located in a busy area full of activities for both the working class and students. Lecture delivery has been tremendous and the academic support for students is excellent. They have various schemes aimed at developing students for the work world such as stelify . Manchester is also an affordable city in terms of low cost of living standards and good night culture.
View moreIt has a great opportunity for me to be a student at the University of Manchester. I am satisfied with its teaching skills and the way students are treated here and also the course guidelines are very good.
