I was overall satisfied, because the value of the degree is high, and I can easily find a job with it afterwards. However, there is not enough theory behind the practical and applied thinking, which I believe would also be important. The lecturers are often not motivated, as they are rather researchers than teachers. Support for everyday problems is very good at he university, they are very helpful, and can find answers to all your needs.
View moreThe University of Manchester is the best university I have been to. Its been ranked 27th in the world by the QS world university ranking. The teachers here are so supportive and knowledgeable, creating a different way of thinking which lead to achieving maximum efficiency in learning and applying knowledge. The university platform for students is good and offers everything a student needs. The infrastructure and classrooms are excellent here. The societies and the events offered by the university are engaging and help in connecting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. The career connect platform offered by universities helps students in finding the best deals for them in terms of jobs. This Platform also helps in choosing the best career path and grooming you to be the best fit for the industry you want to work in. I can’t give less than 5 stars to this university as I feel the best experience here.
View moreThe University of Manchester is one of the greatest places to study. the staff here motivates you to germinate and cultivate your ideas. The level of acceptability and challenge to improve drive the desire of becoming the best. The development of a student is not only done on academic level but is also supported with social and curricular stimulation.
View moreThis university counts with multiple study spaces and also quite a lot of social activities to interact and make friends. What I don’t like so much is that lectures are with quite a lot of students so the teaching process doesn’t feel individualized, plus there has been a lot of striking lately.
View moreI really enjoy the campus. We have everything we need around: libraries, restaurants and further down the road we also have pubs or places where we can relax. I enjoy my course structure and everything I learn, overall.
The things I do not like:
-Some seminar leaders should be more prepared than they are. Seminars exist to help us fix information from the lectures and and as long as there are some seminar leaders who barely can explain theories, they give students no value.
-The prices in the campus. Meals and other things are expensive. I would rather go to Morrison’s for a meal deal. Universities’ accommodations are also too expensive. I believe they should try and help us with the costs, not charge more than private accommodation.
This University provides its student to explore heritage, skill and passion. This University gave birth to 25 nobel laureates with 2 of them presently in the Faculty. Student Union and the International society organizes various fairs and trips throught out the year. I would surely recommend this University to my fellow mates back in India so that they can also have this lifetime experience.
View moreThis university is huge and reputable, and has a lot of resources. One thing I like about UoM is that it is a city campus, and everyone has a chance to know each other, not just students but people from outside the university too. People here are from all around the globe, and are just super friendly. There are also a lot of activities throughout the year to keep me busy exploring. Three years later I am still not tired of exploring this city.
View moreI really enjoyed my time at the University of Manchester. There has been good support for students, the library resources are sufficient to some extent and students community is probably one of the strongest in the UK. There possibly should be a bit more consistency in terms of teaching quality and more freedom in terms of mixing degree options.
