Manchester, yes the city itself not just the University, although it may be a large contributing factor , has an incredible balance.
From the conducive academic environment the university itself and and the campus provides (to the extent that you actually feel motivated not just pressured to do well academically) to the incredibly liveable city it is that thrives with the hustle and bustle of being in a city but also not overwhelmingly chaotic like what you would imagine maybe a city like London to be. The student experience at UoM becomes almost a privilege and a lifestyle, and it very quickly becomes home.
It is a fantastic university and as inclusive as they come; with students, lecturers and visitors alike from all walks of life and different backgrounds. The university provides more degrees to choose from than one can imagine, with ample reading material which you can find in numerous libraries. The main library, however, is enormous with literally thousands of educational resources. The lecturer halls are ‘mostly’ modern and the lecturers themselves do range from the great to the not so great. However, that’s expected in every university. You won’t be surprised to know that the campus is the biggest university campus in the country, located all around an amazing city, the true capital of England, Manchester – with a vibrant atmosphere, home to the biggest football club in the world and exciting nightlife. All in all, this university is rated as amongst the best for a reason. Universally acclaimed. Truly Mancunian.
