If you’re a fun outgoing person Uel is a place to be with vibrant culture in and around the university you are overloaded with exciting new information to carry you through the years. As an introvert, I found all of this too much to handle in the beginning but easily making friends through classes and various hosted events it’s an eye opener to new life. Your respective course will challenge your mind and make you work harder but nothing is more of an accomplishment than graduation.
View moreI had major support from my teachers. The teachers were excellent and very knowledgeable and I always felt the urge to create after our classes. Our classes were very inspiring. My teachers, when asked, advised me on how to further my career after graduating. It was a great insight to understand what my possible next steps could be.
View moreMy course MA in Education was fantastic, I particularly love the modules and the teachers. The teachers are easily accessible and teach us like we are colleagues. They encourage critical reasoning and analysis and encourage efforts.
I enjoy the academic writing team at the University which readily assist students with academic writing, checking assignments, reviewing, and critically giving feedback that helps. Every time I approached them, they were helpful and their review enabled me to have three distinctions out of five modules.
I also enjoyed financial support from the University; as an international student, I got a scholarship and was able to get two other bursaries from the University, especially during the pandemic. The Student Hub is very accessible and they respond to my enquiries promptly. The library is fully equipped and whenever I could not access some journals online, the librarian assisted me to get the paper and sent it to my student email.
UEL has helped me explore my potential; I served as the Course Representative for my cohort. In fact, there is an opportunity for everyone regardless of their background.
