I lived off campus with a woman. She was very kind and welcoming… Also a former Queen Mary’s student was there to share his experience and give advice on things to do there. I contacted this person through the stmary website and he was very helpful. Also, if you live far from campus, living outdoors can affect your social life. But I lived 10 minutes from campus, so I could go there anytime. Life outside is probably quiet as the fire alarm went off in the building at 2am and everyone had to go outside (it was 4 degrees, which was pretty shocking).

It is a good university which has helped me to understand my course much better from the support or staff and students. The course was not as expected to be honest as it has modules I didn’t think I’ll be studying such as using STATA.

I like the chance to bond with other students from different backgrounds doing the same course which helps to build new ideas and socialise better.
