I had a wonderful year at Queen Mary University of London while completing my Master’s in Computer Vision in 2018. I loved the faculty; their immense experience in their fields helped me gain essential knowledge and strong technical skills. Moreover, the cultural diversity at the university made it easy to settle in, make new friends, and overcome homesickness. Overall, it was a truly memorable and enriching academic journey.

I enrolled in the Business Management program at Queen Mary University of London with high expectations, but my experience has been mixed. The education provided is decent, offering a comprehensive overview of business concepts. However, my dissatisfaction arises from several aspects.

Firstly, the excessive amount of readings is overwhelming. While I understand the importance of self-study, it feels like the balance between lectures and personal study is skewed. The workload could be more manageable to allow for a deeper understanding of the materials covered.

Another concern is the outdated slides used in lectures. Given the dynamic nature of the business world, it’s crucial to have up-to-date information. The reliance on outdated materials hinders our ability to stay current with industry trends and practices.

Furthermore, the frequency of teacher strikes has disrupted the flow of the academic calendar. While I respect the rights of educators to advocate for their concerns, the frequent disruptions have affected the continuity of our learning experience.

In summary, Queen Mary University of London provides an adequate education in business management, but improvements are needed in terms of workload management, updating course materials, and minimizing the impact of teacher strikes on the learning experience.

It is managed very well. Very organised and students are clear on the things they have to do. One thing I would change is have attendance for all lectures. Because my course have a lot of people so its difficult to do attendance. But doing attendance will encourage people to attend lectures more often.

All the professors are well qualified for the job. Communication and facilities are excellent. Programs are well organised. The only improvement required is making the curriculum more skill-focused so we are better prepared for the job market.

It has an excellent location; also plenty of courses are available for students. From medical sciences to business and computer science. Short walk from the tube station. Lovely buildings and clean and well kept open spaces. A Russell Group University!

I experienced the learning is great. During pandemic also, they have made learning online very productive, convenient and effective. The faculties are highly educated and laboratories are well equipped for learning.

Queen Mary not only gave me good ground understanding of computer science but also helped me find a work placement which I was able to undertake during my studies. I would recommend this university to anyone who wants to start their career in London and aims high.

Queen Mary is great for its diverse students and professors. Its also one of the best fitted out schools for technology. Huge computer rooms available for students, all lecture areas have a projector and computers. Most lectures are also recorded so they can be found online. Also there is a strong social life presence in QMUL
