King’s is a good university with good professors. The facilities could be improved, especially at the Franklin Wilkins building. Overall, the university experience is expensive wherever you go, so King’s is a good London option
View moreAlthough I don’t have much to compare it with, I enjoyed my 4 years at King’s. My course was pretty much exactly as it was described in the prospectus and I always understood how the course worked and how everything fitted together, as well as its overarching purpose within the degree. The academic staff were great – always around for a chat about the course and other pastoral and personal issues. Marking was generally fair, apart from in finals, where we had missed out on a lot of material due to the union strikes in 2018. The university was also great at offering well-paid (London living wage) jobs on part time bases to students, which was especially helpful given how expensive London is. Going to King’s for myself is more of a living in London and attending university relationship, rather than just attending a university which happens to be in London. London takes center stage in the university experience at Kings. (Unless you try really hard to cater it otherwise and only immerse yourself in student activities)__-The biggest issue with Kings is probably consistency. Personally, I’ve had a perfectly supportive and engaging time with my faculty (Social Science
