After moving away to the University of Leicester last September, I can confidently say that I have made the right decision for the progression of my learning and future career.

As a Business Management student, I was initially enticed by the specialist Business school- Brookfield, which is a beautifully modern building standing outside of the general university campus. In my first year I have become aware of many different people that I can contact for support including module leaders, seminar tutors and personal tutors, all of which are more than happy to help in any way they can.

Personally, I saw moving to university as quite a daunting experience as there is a huge emphasis put on the need for independence however I was soon put at ease by all of the different support systems within the university. During the start of my studies there was definitely a big focus on allowing new students to engage with their new surroundings, become familiar with their new routines and to develop connections with their fellow classmates. Tutors treat you with a great amount of respect, making communication easy and effective to ensure any questions or worries don’t get overlooked.

For these reasons I would definitely recommend both my chosen university and the course I am studying and I believe that there will be many more routes of support that I will uncover during the following years of my degree.

I believe that the University of Leicester is an inclusive and reputable institution. It is well known for high-quality teaching and research.
As a constant user of the campus itself, it is well-equipped as it includes specialised laboratories, a big library, computer rooms and student support services. Leicester itself is a vibrant city and has a diverse nightlife, suitable for everyone. I personally enjoy going out to do different activities, trying new things and letting loose from time to time.
However, as expected, the University also has minor flaws. One thing I dislike about the campus is that it can be quite intimidating ad many of the buildings are spread out and disjointed and I sometimes find it difficult to navigate the different buildings. Furthermore, another thing I experienced which I disliked was the limited accommodation availability.
Despite these flaws, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the University of Leicester and would definitely recommend it to other students that are starting University.

Amazing university with excellent faculties.Very supportive team of members .Provides great opportunity and gives exposure to different companies and institutes .Department conducts a lot of seminars/talks from the alumni/various members of the board regarding their experiences,opportunities and interests.

Program was well suited in developing the skills of a manager in the engineering field. Exposure of both online and on campus teaching was well established, the professors were helpful throughout the course duration. The university infrastructure and facilities is excellent.

Engineering business management was one of my favourite subjects in MEM, the professors and lecturers are really helpful in clarifying my doubts and lending a hand anytime. With the Talent team’s support, I’m currently working on my CV to secure a job. The overall support from the university and the experience were incredible

I like the way the teachers give us the classes, and they are always prepared in class for each question. In addition, they have done a good job during the pandemic, having classes online and on campus, which is a double duty for all teachers. Like teachers, workers are always online to answer questions, and the vast majority respond immediately.

Here I wana tell you about my overall journey with the Uni of liecister. Trust me I will not regret at any point of my life to choose this module and uni too. I have feel 360° changes in my thought, thinking, skills, and understanding as well.

As a student from university of Leicester I have a very great experience here working with professional and skilled faculty who responds fast and give me great guidance .as a student I was given more options which many universities don’t offer which has helped me in many ways.The ignite program offered by the university which is a way new mode of study that helps students to get in direct contact with the professor’s.
The student union of the university is great and always give the apt and fast solutions for any problem that we face.
I feel great and accomplished to be a student of UOL.
I recommend my upcoming friends to chose university of Leicester as this will help you get very closer for you goals with lot of fun, excitement and learning.

The night life and societies were superb, but the actual campus was a concrete jungle, the accommodation for first years was a 45 minute walk away (unless you bought a bus pass), the teachers seemed disengaged and uninspired, they simply read off a presentation, and you had to buy a gym membership to play sports as that was your insurance, which makes sports more expensive than most universities if you did not want to go to the gym.
