My time studying Computer Science at the University of Leeds has been both exciting and intense. The course throws you into the deep end with real coding projects, problem-solving challenges, and group work that feels close to what you’d face in the tech industry. Some modules can be tough to keep up with, especially when deadlines pile up, but the support from lecturers and classmates makes it manageable. The best part is how practical the learning feels; you’re constantly applying theory to real scenarios. Leeds also has a great mix of culture, diversity, and campus life, which keeps things balanced when the coding gets tough. It’s the kind of place that pushes you hard but leaves you feeling confident and capable by the end. I love it here.

The University of Leeds is unquestionably an extraordinary institution. To date, I have developed a strong sense of self and a clear strategy for the future. I have also discovered my true passions and made lifelong friends with others. The university’s supportive environment and many facilities have aided my academic, professional, and personal development. The university boasts outstanding scholars who are passionate about their fields of study. Despite the challenge of the coursework, these professors consistently went above and beyond to assist in any amount of way imaginable.

Studying at the University of Leeds has been a really good experience overall. The lecturers know their stuff and are genuinely interested in helping you learn, and the campus has everything you need for convenient learning, from modern facilities to great study spaces. The student life is lively too, with plenty of events and friendly people around. That said, some courses move quite fast, and it can take a while to get feedback sometimes. Still, Leeds has a great atmosphere and really pushes you to grow both academically and personally.

One thing I’ve really loved about studying at Leeds is how friendly and approachable the professors are. They genuinely care about your progress and are always happy to help—whether it’s answering questions after class or giving advice during office hours. It makes learning so much less stressful and way more enjoyable. You never feel like you’re on your own here.

Amazing experience. Lovely city and easy to navigate. I enjoyed my time at Leeds University. Participating in extracurricular activities and university societies also helped in developing my skills.

My programme was challenging and it pushed me to learn new things. The course was also quite broad and covered numerous topics to a good degree. The workload, especially during the second, requires good planning and any slips will make it a catch up game which is not fun.

As I am attending university during the pandemic it might seem to be difficult to get help nonetheless once you realise how many opportunities you are given you can use them to make big progress. I really enjoy my course and even though some assignments might seem to be difficult I recognise them as one of the chances to get better in this field.

I am currently enrolled in this program. And I find this style of teaching to be amazing, they keep you in pace with every subject that is being taught to us so that you can use them interchangeably.

I was very wary of the hybrid system at the start being partially online and partially offline but they still manage to pull that off in an amazing way. Firstly the subjects that online give us weekly assignments to them so that you don’t zone out. Also, some online lectures are even pre-recorded so that you can keep up or be ahead of the class. There are doubt sessions for every lecture so that you can ask your doubts and rectify your reports. The course pacing is a bit steep so you have to be able to give enough time to it so that you can keep up your pacing and if you are unable to there is a study week where no lectures are scheduled so you can keep up if you lagged.

Also, some lectures are hard to be understood online, so they provide offline classes for them, even if you were unable to understand it online you can go for the offline lectures and clear your doubts or tell them to teach that whole session to you again. Assignment keeps rolling so you have to be in pace with them.

Also if you want to do a part-time in that period you can make out time for doing that since schedules are flexible and online sessions get recorded you can change your schedule according to that and it gives you amazing balance.

Also, the professors who are teaching the course have projects going on with the industry. So they know a lot about the current industry that’s why the course is very focused and gets updated every time there’s some new advancements or needs.

Still, there are something’s that you have to keep in mind before coming here. Choose the right accommodation, since some university accommodations are very far from here. You have to keep in mind how you would ensure your travel and not because it suits you financially. Many of us made this mistake and got accommodation which is far away from University. So, choose where you live wisely.
